Flying and Gliding
Within the Air Cadets, cadets are able to undertake lots of flying experiences which includes: powered flying and gliding. Cadets can earn their wings badges or even progress onto flying/gliding scholarships. All flying and gliding is funded by the Royal Air Force and costs around £300 per cadet, per oliver flight. Cadets fly in 3 main aircraft, which are the: Grob Tutor, Grob Viking and the Grob Vigilant. However, cadets may be able to fly in British, NATO, Foreign and Commonwealth military passenger transport aircraft and helicopters.
