One of the many activities available to you as a cadet is the opportunity to try your hand at rifle shooting, and learn the skill required to safely handle and fire a variety of weapons on dedicated shooting ranges.
Under the supervision of our qualified weapons instructors, you can learn all you need to know about how each rifle works and how to care for the weapon, in order to pass the weapons handling tests.
On passing the Weapon Handling Test, cadets are able to fire weapons on a shooting range under the supervision of qualified range staff. These members of staff will help you to improve your marksmanship skills and ultimately gain either a Squadron/Wing/Region/Corps Marksmanship badge.
there are plenty of chances throughout each year to attend not only weapons handling training and tests, but also a range of marksmanship competitions and events.
These events are designed to improve your marksmanship skill whilst having fun and competing with other cadets from across the region.
