Commandants Special Commendation for 59 Squadron

Tonight we recognised one of our Corporals with a Commandants Special Commendation. Cpl Cerys Bywater was out walking in Skipton when she came across a man who wasn’t breathing. The first aid skills she learnt with cadets kicked in and she immediately began CPR. Thanks to Cpl Bywater’s heroic actions, the man survived and shortly after was recovered by paramedics. To mark the occasion our sector commander came down to present the award to Cpl Bywater, Congratulations!
